“amazed” (Mark 2:1-12 lectio)

Mark 2:1-12 lectio: amazed. When I have more time I want to explore what evangelism might look like in a missional community of faith. (Wow, I just realized something: “missional” is outward, “community” is inward, “faith” is upward.) But the main thing, I think, is that people would be amazed by the life of Christ they see in us. (And no, I’m not forgetting that in the passage, it was the healing that amazed the people. I want to see more power encounters, not less. But healing comes in many forms when brokenness comes in many forms. Jesus himself demonstrated that by dealing with physical healing and with forgiveness of sins.)

++ Help me to live in a way that causes people to be amazed at you. Help our communities of faith to live in a way that causes people to say, “We have never seen anything like this!” ++

    I like: missional-community-faith, outward-inward-upward.
