Last week Tom popped up via IM and asked me if I knew anybody who would like to play-test the upcoming Tomb Raider game. No one came to mind. What about your son, he asked.
Being the responsible dad, I thought about Trevor’s heavy workload as a junior higher. And since he was sick the day before, I thought he probably had extra work to make up. So I replied, “No, he doesn’t have time on weekdays.”
Thankfully, Tom thought to ask Kay, whose reply was less responsible and more sensible. Would a junior-high kid who is nuts over video games like the chance to play-test a game months before it’s released? As Kay put it, “Those are bragging rights!” She asked Trevor, who found the motivation to get all his homework done extra-fast.
I’m glad Kay isn’t as responsible as I am. What a great mom.

KAY RULES!!!!!!!
She can be my mom any day! (athough, now that I think about it, I’d probably get my mouth washed out with soap and sent to bed if she knew about me *giggle*)
And you know a TON of pople who could play test *ahem: my peeps are the SHNIZZLE at video games*
And Kay is a wonderful mom, even if she didn’t do really awesome stuff like get her kids video games to play test
