Church Merger

The cat’s out of the bag: City Vineyard Church and South Bay Vineyard are merging! “Acquisitions” happen in the church world, but mergers are rare. It will be like a new church, so the pastorS (plural, they will be co-pastoring) have said they want a new name. (Unfortunately, “Scum of the Earth” is already taken.)

    Yup. SBV is probably struggling with thoughts of “our church plant failed,” but the reality is that we need them as much as they need us.

    “Scum of the Earth” is here in CO. Lol! I’ve always loved that name. I have yet to visit…but I will one day.
