City Vineyard now has a video projection system. Death to the overhead projector! (Though one thing I miss about the overhead projector was that it was off to the side where I could peek at it when I was leading worship and wasn’t sure of the next words.) I really like the way we don’t just display the lyrics, but also use imagery.
So why, when I say it would be nice to have video loops, do people look at me like I’ve completely lost it? “It would be so distracting,” is the complaint. (It wasn’t that long ago that people said the same about rock-n-roll worship!) Yet here is a company that provides video loops for worship.
