Off to WWDC

June 22, 2003

[Apple Computer logo]Don’t expect a lot of blogging from me for a bit; I’ll be at Apple’s Worldwide Developer’s Conference all week. And I don’t have a laptop to take advantage of the wi-fi connection they are offering at the conference.

…But at some point, I want to talk about an interesting conversation I had on Friday with a pagan and one of my best friends (a normal person, not a Christ-follower).

…And Andrew, I haven’t forgotten your request to talk about RSS — I really haven’t!

As an American missionary kid who grew up in Japan, I'm a child of two cultures, while not fully belonging to either. This gives me a sightly different view of the world.

  1. Greetings from WWDC
The new OS really is an improvement, especially for ordinary users like my wife.
I got the new iSight webcam they were giving away, woo-hoo! “Videoconferencing for the rest of us” opens up new possibilities for people to connect relationally even if they are remote.
The new G5 machines are hella fast.

I’ve got all the mac toys in the world.
I tell all my friends that macintosh is the one true computer.
If only I was as devoted to Jesus as I was to Steve Jobs.

  3. Have fun Jon! See you when you get back!
