Ecce homo

[The Passion]I just got back from watching The Passion. Wow. I had never given much thought before to what a bizarre, awful day it was for Simon of Cyrene. Or the suffering of Jesus’ mother.

But mainly, the thought that kept going through my head was: This was all for me? What kind of person would go through that… for me?

And it’s all because of Love. True, unconditional Love. Wonderfully powerful. Or should that be “Powerfully wonderful”? :-)

Too busy moving right now, but look forward to seeing the movie. I plan to bring plenty of tissue, and something to hide my face behind, when necessary. Don’t think I’ll feel like munching on popcorn at THAT movie!! I’m glad you were blessed by the movie. What a cool God we have.

My only question is, what took you so long?! ;) I’ve been to see it twice now (I’m not bragging, I have a point ;) . Once with VCFBoise and Birgit and then with my Chinese friend and Josh. I didn’t think it was a film that I would go to again, but I was able to see it from an entirely different perspective (although similar to yours) the second time. The first was pretty overwhelming and some of the ‘artistic license’ distracted me. Since I knew what to expect the second time, I was able to focus on what it meant for me. A truly amazing film, especially considering its background. It has enabled some fun conversation at work.

Just saw the Passion this week and for 2 days after I felt like I was walking on air.
What a beautiful, artistic, gripping film. There was so much talk of the violence that I was a little scared to see it. But I AM SO GLAD I DID. And I want to see it again, and may buy it when it comes out on DVD.
It is a rich film, with a lot of nuances. Everyone has a different response to the movie. I want to write Mel and say Thank You for making that film.
I could go on and on about it. It made a difference in my life. Awesome movie for the believer.
