It took 4 years and 4 months, but today, iTunes told me that it could not fit everything onto my “brick” first-generation 5G iPod (with real rotating wheel)!

Wow, that is a LOT of songs. Annie has been saving up for an Ipod and is getting one next week. Hers will hold 250 songs which for now is plenty. She is excited, and I am nervous about a teenager locked in her room with her ears plugged!
Wow, you must be of a much more Spartan nature than me. I have had to be careful about what I put on my 4G mini for a long time, deleting some and adding others as the urge strikes (most recent add: Ummagumma). It took me 2 years to finally realize I didn’t really need to keep my entire U2 collection on it though!
Well, if it makes you feel any better, I have a 200 gig drive which is full and still about 1200 CDs that are not ripped down yet. There’s no iPod in creation that could do it for me…
