Well, I had my first traffic accident today. I was driving to work, when I noticed the cars ahead of me had stopped — not too unusual in morning traffic. I slowed to a safe stop, then checked my rear view mirror to see what the person behind me would do. I watched and thought, he’s coming awfully fast, oh no he’s WHAM.
Apart from a sore back (yes, I saw a doctor at Kay’s insistence), I’m doing all right. The back of my car is banged in a bit and I can’t open the trunk. The other fellow’s truck? Unscathed.
He was apparently too busy talking on his cell phone, telling a friend about his brand new truck.
If we talk on our phones while driving, let’s all use earpieces, shall we?

Jon sorry to hear it. Getting rear-ended changes the way you drive. You’ll never be able to stop without looking in your rear-view mirror thinking that the car behind you won’t stop. I hate that feeling. Anyway, glad that you’re safe.
oh jon…better you then me…I just picked up my 04′ Scion Xb. Good thing I don’t have a phone ! (sorry bout your car, Me and Stacy got rear ended a few years ago on the freeway. We were stopped and the dud hit us going like 65+….good thing our God watches our back….and our rears…)
Maybe if you would’ve had one of those “baby on board” stickers, that wouldn’t have happened.

Hope your back is ok quickly.
Always carry crutches in your car and the number of a good lawyer….imagine the look on their face when you fall out of the car screaming, crutches and all.
That should slow em down.
