There was no meetup last night in San Jose. Well we got a little further this time, we voted on a place. But having chosen a place, only 4 people said they’d come, and you need at least 5.

The tricky thing is that meetup preserves anonymity, so there’s no way to contact people unless you’re already in contact with them.
…Oh, I know! We can do like the “fakesters” on friendster and create fake people to create a quorum!
That reminds me, there was only one other person who responded to my local Indies Meet up. So, mine was canceled as well. I could sign up for the one in Denver for next month, but that’s really just too far away. Too bad really!
Tuesday is rough for me – I have another event (but the previous Tuesday – July 8 – was my wife’s birthday!)
My thoughts are to have it someplace along the 237/Tasman area – so that people from the north can attend, without having to trapse through San Jose. Also, BART is almost doable from Tasman – but anywhere along the 180 bus route would be good, too.
