(Echoing Chris’s posting…) It was a year ago today that I learned that I lost my job. (I was on vacation at the time and learned a day after Chris and the others.)
It has been quite a good year all in all. I never thought we could survive this long financially. It has spurred Kay on to new directions. Every night the kids pray, “God, please get Dad a job. Or help Mom to make so much money that Dad won’t have to get a job.” We have yet to see a penny from Kay’s new endeavors, but she is committed to the hope of retiring me some day.
In the meantime, I still need a job — but I am still focused solely on Apple. I am open to God telling me otherwise, I really am! I am open to the idea that he said “go to Apple” just to string me out, just so Kay would discover her new calling, and then tell me something else. But I know God’s voice, he knows how to get through to me, and until I hear otherwise… (Hearing God is one of the less publicized benefits of this whole Jesus thing. It is also one of the hazards!)

Wow Jon, I can’t believe it’s been a whole year. I’m glad things are still going ok financially. ptl.
Yes hearing God’s voice is a benefit and a hazard indeed!
If you see anything you like on the apple jobs website for iPod, let me know. Our group is hiring.
There might be a lot of stuff in north Peninsula firms, as well as East Bay. I’m “retired” from hi-tech, but I ‘m getting lots of leads in those geographies.
Pick a Thursday or Friday, and we can do lunch? I’m buying!
cheers,
