New Hobby

March 2, 2004

[me on video]So Trevor will be graduating from Cub Scouts in a couple weeks. As part of the ceremonial final hurrah, I borrowed a digital video camera and volunteered to make something. This is the first time I have ever attempted this, and I have discovered something:

I really, really enjoy video production. A lot. Especially editing.

I have not blogged about our home group in some time, and it’s not because there’s nothing to write about. Actually, we have had some really, really cool times together. And I could post about my lectio divina, as I did last year. But sorry! Editing this Cub Scout video is consuming my time on the computer. And I am digging it.

As an American missionary kid who grew up in Japan, I'm a child of two cultures, while not fully belonging to either. This gives me a sightly different view of the world.

  1. Camping is cool. It’s nice that there are not as many bugs here as there back home (or am I assuming heh). One can literally die from scratching mosquito bites back there! :-/
