Prayer for persistence

August 30, 2007

I was working out while listening to my iPod, when I was suddenly taken into a prayer for persistence:

In your house I long to be
Room by room, patiently
I’ll wait for you there
Like a stone
I’ll wait for you there

Audioslave – Like a Stone

As an American missionary kid who grew up in Japan, I'm a child of two cultures, while not fully belonging to either. This gives me a sightly different view of the world.

  1. i love that song/album. it’s funny how many reviews criticized the lyrics for being more cornell nonsense when to me i heard a great spiritual yearning and honest present from start to finish. just because they didn’t focus on the clearcut politics of ratm, people seemed to think of audioslave as a band with no artistic vision.
