Saint of the Day

[saint]Here’s one Noelle sent me a couple of months ago that I’m only just now getting around to posting: Saint of the Day. Noelle writes, “I really dig the historical aspect of it and it’s always good for conversation when I can remember what saint did what very cool (or completely crazy) thing.”

As an American missionary kid who grew up in Japan, I'm a child of two cultures, while not fully belonging to either. This gives me a sightly different view of the world.

  1. Cool site, Jon! Thanks for sharing!
We really do have alot that we can learn from the examples of great men and women of God who have gone before us. Sometimes evangelicals bash the respecting (or…GASP…praying to) of “saints” when they revere men and women all the time. Just look at Billy Graham, Beth Moore, Charles Stanley, Dr. Dobson…just to name a few. But what about those who have gone further back??
Sure, I know I’m WAY preaching to the choir here. It’s just a good reminder.

  2. It’s the main reason one of my legal names is Cecilia. Back in the day, my mom and grandmother thought naming me after her would bring music into my heart.
I think it was the other way around. 😉
And I turn 28 today! *shocked* mwahahah
