Still in Limbo

[Christ rescuing souls from limbo]Once again, a week has passed since my interviews, with no word from Apple. Nothing. Zip. Nada.

When I was at Adobe and we interviewed a candidate, we would have a hiring meeting as soon as the person left, reach a consensus, and the manager would make the phone call that day.

I am getting the impression that Apple is truly the Kingdom of the Geeks, even at the management level. This explains why they are so innovative and come up with the coolest stuff. It also explains why they are so bad at dealing with people.

Other companies are not much better – with one interview at the phone company, it took them 6 weeks to get back to us….ggrrrhhh. Neither one of us is terribly fond of waiting. Praying no news will turn into good news….

If it makes you feel any better – I had my interview 2 weeks ago. I keep getting e-mails tah tthey like me, and want to bring me in, but there’s some head count issue so meetings have to ensue and it’s 50/50. It’s almost worse to be in that situation…
Hugs and love – they’d be stupid to pass you up!

Jon: you are a proven voice for spiritual renewal and you should know, if you are doubting it, that the Lord is not through with working through your life in this manner. Keep your eyes on Jesus.
The job displacement sucks for sure; I’m going through that myself. But the purposes of the Lord are fixed, as is His love for you. Grace and peace to you, my friend.

Jon, thanks for the update. I’ve been coming here for news. Ugh. Waiting is hard. But somehow we can be enlarged in the waiting, as the verse says somewhere.
Saying a prayer right now that the RIGHT job will come soon for you, brother.
    With love, Helen
ps great to see you in the flesh recently!!
