The Christmas Season Is Open

[Christmas tree decorations]Kay loves the Christmas season; it is her absolute favorite time of year. The first weekend after Thanksgiving, we load the 5-disc CD player with a some of the Christmas music Kay has acquired over the years, we assemble the Christmas tree, and the kids decorate it. The rest of the house is also decorated.

This photo was just taken a couple of hours ago. As our pastor said this morning, “As we enter the Christmas season, let’s all be careful to still our hearts. You may or may not be able to still your schedule, but you can still your heart. If you don’t still your heart, you’ll miss the whole point.”

    We used to get real trees until we noticed that the cats loved to eat the needles and throw up. No such problems with our “assembled” tree.
