The Road Goes Ever On and On

March 8, 2005

Today I had a 45-minute phone interview with Apple. It must have gone well enough, as I was given a homework assignment of three problems. I like that — it lets me operate in my own element, and speaks well of the way they evaluate candidates.

Also, an Apple recruiter contacted me about a position in a different group.

Tomorrow I go to Palo Alto for an all-day interview with VMWare, 10:45 to 4:30.

And whither then? I cannot say.

As an American missionary kid who grew up in Japan, I'm a child of two cultures, while not fully belonging to either. This gives me a sightly different view of the world.

  1. How’d it go?

  2. Good luck Bilbo

  3. I ended up being there from 10:30 to 5:30, and I think it went pretty well! I actually went into this not too keen about a) the commute, and b) not working on Macs. I came out of it feeling pretty stoked about the company. They are a happening bunch working on cool stuff.
