Ugh. Kay’s dad was in a car accident today and has a broken hip socket (as well as broken hands and broken rib). This is never good for anybody, but harder for the elderly. Harder still if you’re diabetic. And discouraging for a man who used to be quite active but had fallen into a “so this is it” lethargy—but even more discouraging when his spirits were up because he was looking forward to a trip to Hawaii which isn’t happening now.
Kay’s driving south tomorrow for a few days. If you think of her, pray that her dad will not lose heart.
